Plots
Personally, I always have trouble with plots, so here are some suggestions: I was first introduced to the "36 Plots" in a now out-of-print Writer's Digest book titled Theme and Strategy by Ronald B. Tobias. They were created, or defined, by a Frenchman over 100 years ago, but they remain true for fiction today. Polti's 36 Dramatic Situations
Polti's book is still in print and has been translated into English. It's called The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations
Another good book about building plots, also by Writer's Digest, is 20 Master Plots (And How to Build Them)
